To help support our Global growth, we are seeking a Sr. Application Ops Engineer to join our growing Customer Support team at our location in Birmingham AL!
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, or STEM courses; Master’s Degree a plus
Minimum of 5 years’ experience
Experience with UNIX and Linux is required (Redhat preferred).
Experience with tomcat and J2EE platform is required.
Experience with more than one of the scripting languages like Shell, PHP and Java Script is required.
Previous operational experience to cloud platform(s) like AWS, Azure, Rackspace or even private clouds is required.
Good understanding of how J2EE applications work with Webservers etc.
Good understanding of SSL and SAML 2.0 is a plus.
Good understanding of relational databases (Oracle 11i)
Good understanding of SQL and stored procedures.
Exposure to NodeJS
Exposure to monitoring tools like Nagios, Sensu or others
Excellent problem solving, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with staff at all levels.
