    As Lead Site Reliability Engineer for SAP Sales Cloud you will be responsible for nurturing the SRE culture, share the associated mindset and practices and grow as well as mentor the SRE team. 

    This role will be located either in Dublin, Palo Alto (SAP office), New York (SAP office), or LA (Remote).


    • You will be in charge of designing, building and maintaining solutions that support running large-scale, distributed and fault-tolerant systems with high uptime and reliability as well as support engineering teams with guidance on how to improve their architecture to achieve these goals.
    • Designing and implementing processes like blameless post-mortems as well as ways to proactively identify potential outages will be core tasks and you will serve as the primary point responsible for the overall health, performance, and capacity of our services.
    • Having an entrepreneurial spirit and proactive work ethic is core for this role.



    • MSc in Computer Science or related field.
    • 3+ years as an SRE, Lead SRE or SRM at a hyperscale company.
    • 5+ years of experience in writing highly scalable production code in a multi-threaded environment.
    • Excellent knowledge of scalable, distributed architectures.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • PhD in Computer Science.
    • Systematic problem-solving approach, sense of ownership and strong communication skills.
    • Excellent knowledge of one or more of the following languages: Java, Scala, C++, Python, Go.
    • Experience in attracting, managing, retaining and mentoring a team of talented engineers.
    • Experience in building and shipping a large-scale product.
    • Deep knowledge of running containerized applications (Kubernetes, Borg, Titus, etc).
