    Callidus Software is looking for an experienced Data Integration Consultant to join our On-Demand Operations team to help build, maintain, design and architect data integration solutions for our EIM SaaS business. 



    Responsibilities

    • Understand the business objectives of On-Demand customers and projects and the technical IT solutions that support them, and then delivering and supporting those solutions in a production environment
    • Critical event monitoring, detection and intervention
    • Assist in the design and deliver process and operational automation tools and utilities
    • Complex problem-solving using UNIX, Oracle and Informatica skills to research, troubleshoot and resolve a wide variety of technical questions and configuration requests from customers, partners and project teams
    • Event-handling and resolution of potentially complex production processing issues involving:
      • File transfers into customer production environments
      • Data imports and validation
      • Informatica ETL and datamart processing
      • Oracle database configuration, performance analysis and tuning
    • Process and event recovery to resume production processing after interruption

    Travel Expectation: up to 50%.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering
    • 3+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience
    • 2+ years of UNIX programming (shell scripting), including coding from scratch, troubleshooting existing code, job control scripting, process automation scripting. Perl scripting experience preferred
    • 2+ years working in UNIX systems and application environments (command-line syntax, regular expressions, process recovery, networking)
    • 2+ years developing with Informatica v.7/8 and designing ETL solutions
    • 2+ years of experience with Oracle RDBMS (preferably in UNIX environment) Technical  with SQL (queries, stored procedures, query plans, optimizer)
    • Demonstrated initiative, ownership and independent judgment
    • Demonstrated customer service, teamwork, communication and organizational skills
    • Willingness to work in an after-hour response rotation schedule to insure customer support service levels are met
    • Capable of working effectively in a multi-tier (client/server or 3-tier) framework (design, code, test, support)
    • Willingness to travel no more than 2 or 3 times a year (US) if required

     

    Technical Skills:

     

    • Very strong UNIX shell command-line expertise and scripting (sh/ksh/posix - maintenance, importing/exporting, extracts, uploads, process management, file editing, command-line syntax, regular expressions, process / task automation, etc)
    • Perl coding on UNIX; Solaris 10 experience preferred
    • Oracle PL/SQL coding (embedded in Perl, or Java, or EJB) and data structure manipulation

     

    Any of the following skills is a plus:

     

    • Experience in enterprise incentive management / compensation
    • Experience with Web UI technologies, including JSPs, Servlets, HTML and Struts/Tiles
    • Familiarity with change control methodologies
    • Familiarity with SOX/SAS70 IT audit requirements
    • Fun loving with a sense of humor
