    CallidusCloud Analytics & AI is built on an exciting ecosystem of multiple technologies running in the Cloud. We are looking for an outstanding Engineer like you to help us to build our distributed, highly-available analytics platform.  The ideal candidate must have a deep knowledge of software development and cloud infrastructures, microservices architectures and Big Data challenges. We expect you to be an excellent analyst, team builder and problem solver, having fluency in Scala and some other JVM based or functional programming languages.

    Responsibilities

    • Write automated tests using open-source tools/frameworks (ScalaTest,Junit,TestNG,PyTest,etc).
    • Work closely with the rest of the agile team members (SW Engineers, QA Automation Engineers).
    • Support and deploy builds in various QA environments with attention to detail about various settings and configurations.
    • Be a problem solver: be able to understand the big picture, analyze problems and improvements and suggest solid alternatives and answers to our daily challenges.
    • Be a team builder: you would prefer to collaborate with product owners, architects, quality assurance and infrastructure than being a lonely wolf.
    • Be a mentor: you would mentor other team members within the engineering organization with respect to the automation and performance.
    • Introduce and influence process improvements and act as an agent for change to the organization.

    Qualifications

    • At least 3 years hands-on experience in software development.
    • Knowledge of at least one of the JVM languages: Scala, Java.
    • Experience with at least one of the databases and storage systems.
    • Load and performance testing using open source tools such as Gatling, Taurus, or JMeter.
    • Successful history of implementing automated functional and regression based test frameworks utilizing open source tools.
    • Strong UNIX/LINUX scripting and command-line troubleshooting background.
    • Strong understanding of automated testing for web based API such as Rest and web services.
    • Experience with server-side/back-end automation and automating web-services.
    • Experience with XPath, XML, HTML & Regular Expressions.
    • Experience with tools such as web monitoring, code coverage, memory tools.
    • Experience using tools such as Apache, Maven, ANT, Jenkins.
    • Knowledge and familiarity with Unix based OS.
    • Strong sense of ownership, passionate, fast learner, detail oriented, analytical mindset, perfection seeker.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field.
    • Nice to have: Experience with scalable automation development using docker, clusters and virtual machines/vagrant systems.
