    The Callidus environment is dynamic, innovative and growing! To help support our global growth, CallidusCloud is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our team in Germany.

    Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will have an established track record of cloud software sales success, experience supporting technical sales professionals across multiple business verticals and will be comfortable delivering presentations to both business and technical users.

    CallidusCloud Sales Engineers provide presales support to Account Executives, Inside Sales Reps and partners. Sales Engineers meet with new prospects and customers, survey business requirements, assist in developing winning sales strategies, and deliver compelling and effective solution demonstrations designed to communicate how CallidusCloud will address customer business requirements and the value of CallidusCloud SaaS-based solutions.

    Ideal candidates should have experience supporting technical sales professionals across multiple business verticals and are comfortable delivering presentations to both business and technical users. Successful candidate will be expected to deliver stellar presentations and master the ability to communicate the value of CallidusCloud SaaS-based solutions through written proposals, virtual and onsite demonstrations, and trade show events.

    As this is role is also supporting CallidusCloud’s partnership with SAP, a history of working for SAP, with SAP Partners, or with SAP products (ideally SaaS) is a definite plus.

    CallidusCloud Sales Engineers work in a fast-paced team-selling environment and must be successful at managing multiple sales opportunities simultaneously.

     

    ‘Day-in-the-Life’ of a CallidusCloud Sales Engineer:

    • Daily interaction with Account Executives selling into New Prospects and Existing Customers.
    • Lead Discovery Sessions designed to survey and uncover customer’s key business requirements, and challenges.
    • Assist in developing winning sales strategies.
    • Build Customized Demonstrations using CallidusCloud Lead-to-Money Suite of Products, focusing on CPQ (Configure Price Quote).
    • Deliver On-site and Virtual-based Demonstrations to new Prospects, Customers, and partner sales teams.
    • Providing technical product positioning to assist with driving sales execution around deals as well as sales enablement with partner sales teams.
    • Provide written responses to customer requests (RFPs) and construct related deliverables (Slide Shows, Solution Maps, etc.) for use by CallidusCloud Sales Team Members.

     

    Qualifications

     

    • 5+ years of Pre-Sales Support or Sales Engineering experience, ideally with cloud-based software.
    • Ideal candidate has worked for an SAP partner or worked previously for SAP.
    • A strong understanding of the Software-as-a-Service industry (SaaS) is desired.
    • Must have exceptional written, oral, and presentation skills (German and English)
    • Ideally CPQ domain knowledge
    • History of working with SAP products, ideally around their Hybris Cloud suite: C4C, Commerce, etc.
    • Ability to communicate how CallidusCloud will address customer business requirements and the value of CallidusCloud SaaS-based solutions
    • Experience selling CPQ Solutions, CRM, and / or business applications (HR, Payroll, ERP, etc.)
    • Experience Configuring rule-based software and/or configuration of Accounting or Finance Software.
    • Passion to perform in a team-based selling environment.
    • Fluent in speaking German and English.
    • Optional: Bachelor’s degree, MBA or similar graduate degree
    • At least 50% travel annually.
