The Project Manager for Instructional Design is responsible for the project management of new course content for CallidusCloud University for customers and employees.  This includes the prioritization, planning, tracking and successful delivery of Callidus product related eLearning, virtual instructor led and instructor led training content produced by the team of Instructional Designers.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Project Manager is responsible for new course content projects ensuring on-time delivery and customized offerings unique to specific customers.

Manage the curriculum backlog and delivery

  • In collaboration with Product Management and the Training department leadership, actively manage the prioritization of new content and ongoing delivery backlog for CallidusCloud University standard and customized offerings.
  • Create and maintain SmartSheet project plans which identify and sequence the activities and resources needed to meet project delivery dates for internal and customer specific content.
  • Proactively manage delivery with a focus on risk mitigation impacting schedule from resources outside of the department, while balancing assignments within the team
  • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team to ensure that it meets the delivery standards and timeline.


Control the project

  • Manage customer SOW and project budget according to established project policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all financial records for projects are maintained and delivered within planned financials expectations.
  • Implement change control when needed to manage the scope of customer delivered content.


Evaluate the project

  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.

  • Desired Skills and Experience

    • PMP Certification
    • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and presentation
    • 5+ years of external project management delivery via SOWs.
    • 5+ years of managing training course content delivery with solid proficiency in Needs Assessment and Job task analysis
    • Experience with Camtasia 8, Captivate 8 or 9, and Storyline 360.
    • Experience with multimedia; course development authoring tools; web content development
    • Able to independently solve problems, be self-directed, strong attention to detail, with the ability to capture, organize, analyze information in order to develop recommendations
