The Callidus environment is dynamic, innovative and growing! To help support our global growth, CallidusCloud is seeking an Account Executive, in the Life Sciences vertical, to join our team. Life Sciences customers include Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Medical Device and CRO companies. Positions are available at offices in Dublin, CA and remotely in the Midwest.



  • Identify and qualify prospects by telephone, cold call, premise visits, and networking
  • Generate new accounts and close sales opportunities using your superior presentation, management and negotiation skills
  • Develop new client relationships and leverage existing and past client relationships to build and manage a sustained pipeline of opportunities
  • Develop proposals, respond to RFP's and conduct face-to-face sales presentations for prospective customers
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects sufficient to meet quarterly/annual quota requirements
  • Maintain revenue and build new revenue within established account base
  • Navigate through complex negotiations at the executive level

Travel Expectation: up to 75%


  • 5+ years of experience selling SaaS solutions to medium and large (global 2000) businesses within the Life Sciences industry
  • Technical or Business degree from a top tier school
  • Demonstrable track record of success reflected in quota performance for the last 5 years
  • Proven track record of over-achievement in direct software sales
  • Thorough understanding of complex solution sales cycle and solution selling
  • Strong prospecting and qualification skills
  • Experience selling into commercial operations (Sales & Marketing) preferred
  • Understanding of pharma and med device sales preferred
