As the HR Business Partner, you will play a critical role in our talent initiatives and will provide end to end guidance in all areas of HR to help our team in Birmingham, Alabama and surrounding states. This role is based out of our Birmingham, AL location and will report directly to the EVP, Chief Talent and HR Officer.

Responsibilities

The HR Business Partner is responsible for the day to day HR support of our teams within various departments. From hire to retire, the HR Business Partner is responsible for talent initiatives (including hands-on recruitment), organizational transfers, immigration, fun at work initiatives, and much more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment: Own the hiring plan in partnership with our talent team. Work with managers to understand strategic resource needs, help define roles, recruitment needs and help to support active recruitment efforts.
  • Talent Retention: Work with managers to attract and retain top talent. Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development.) Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Employee Relations: Responsible for managing employee relation issues to successful conclusion.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal procedures and local laws

Travel may be required from time to time (under 15%)

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience of 5 or more years (generalist or specialist) gained in a growing company (preferably in the tech industry).
  • Bachelor's degree and relevant industry experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational best practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and respective employment laws.
  • Experience supporting multiple functional disciplines —proven time management and prioritization skills.
